Quote-to-Cash

Quote-to-Cash (QTC) is a comprehensive process that covers the entire sales cycle from the initial quote generation to final cash collection.

How Does Quote-to-Cash Work?

QTC encompasses several key components that streamline the sales cycle from generating a quote to collecting payment. A defined and robust Product Catalog is crucial to the success of QTC. Afterwards CPQ (Configure, Price Quote) can be utilized.

CPQ allows sales teams to create accurate quotes quickly.

It enables users to configure products, apply pricing rules, and generate quotes with built-in discounts helping to ensure that all pricing is accurate and consistent. QTC also utilizes Salesforce Approval Processes which help streamline the flow of sign-off on pricing as needed.

After acceptance, Salesforce allows for Contract generation in the platform, helping capture the terms and conditions as well as any negotiated agreements.

After signature, the quote can be converted into an order. The Order component handles the logistics of order fulfillment, including tracking order status and managing inventory.

Next, through invoicing, Salesforce can automatically generate invoices that reflect the agreed-upon pricing and terms from the quote and contract.

Benefits of Quote-to-Cash

QTC aims to provide increased efficiency by manual tasks and speeding up the sales cycle, allowing sales teams to focus more on selling rather than administrative work.

Automation and Rules help to reduce errors in quotes, contracts, and invoices, ensuring that customers receive correct pricing and terms.

The customer has an improved experience by receiving quotes in a timely manner and streamlined purchasing processes, leading to greater satisfaction and retention.

Through reports and dashboards users can gain access to real-time insights into the sales pipeline, revenue forecasts, and order status, helping teams make informed decisions.
