Einstein Activity Capture (EAC) is designed to help automate and streamline the data entry process by capturing activities and associating them to the relevant records in Salesforce.

 

How does Einstein Activity Capture work?

 

Einstein Activity Capture integrates with Outlook and/or Gmail.  It automatically captures emails and calendar events from users’ email and syncs them with Salesforce, eliminating the need for customers to manually log emails/tasks/events.

EAC can pull in relevant details from the user’s communications such as email content, meeting schedules, and interactions. This information is subsequently associated with the correct Salesforce records.

Einstein refers to the artificial intelligence (AI) capabilities built into Salesforce.

Einstein Activity Capture uses AI to analyze the captured data and provide insights by identifying key interactions, detecting sentiment and flagging potential opportunities.

By automating the logging of activities and communications, it reduces the administrative burden on sales teams freeing them up to focus on more strategic tasks, such as relationship building or closing deals.
